Businesses Join Effort to Defend Clean Water Rule from Lawsuit

Two hundred and thirty-four businesses joined Environment America Research & Policy Center and American Sustainable Business Council in urging a federal court to uphold the Clean Water Rule. From outfitters to brewers to charter boat companies, many of these businesses depend on clean water for their livelihoods.

EPA Affirms Clean Car Standards

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency affirmed that automakers can and must make cars and trucks more efficient. This action ensures that fuel efficiency standards will continue to increase as proposed in 2012, with cars and light-duty trucks reaching 54.5 miles per gallon by model year 2025. These standards will make our vehicles go twice as far on a gallon of gas, reduce dangerous air pollution, protect our climate, and save American drivers money at the pump.

Rhode Island Wind Project Flips Switch on America’s Access to Pollution-Free Energy

BLOCK ISLAND, RHODE ISLAND- Today is a historic moment for offshore wind in the United States. The first offshore wind project in the country, Block Island Wind Farm, began producing clean, pollution-free power to Block Island, an island located 13 miles south of mainland Rhode Island.
